One Tribe, How Many Hands series

My image is about the fashion industry’s grasp on its enslaved workers who make the majority of our clothing. The best way to spark conversation and raise awareness about issues like fast fashion slavery is through empathy and art. When you throw statistics and numbers in peoples’ faces, it doesn’t make a human connection. When you show artwork that is different and give a face to a movement, people pay attention. I love using my photographic voice and platform to uplift others by working with brands that also work to put good into the world and by documenting protests and rallies in order to get word out. Humans are visual creatures and tend to care about causes when they can see beautiful and impactful imagery.
